When I was a child playing on the schoolyard at recess, the comebacks or insults were limitless; the "yo mama jokes," "Hey is for horses-cracks" and "take a picture it last longer," was reserved for anyone who dared look at another with disdain or curiosity. Those were the good ole innocent days. We're talking the mid to late sixties-a short lifetime ago.
Most adults of the "babyboomer" era have witnessed the end of segregation and graduated post integration of schools. Most can attest to the culture shock of holding hands with Caucasian children or staring at their mannerisms, while little Black girls allowed their classmates the opportunity to touch the melanin of their skin, and the color not rub off!
Society has robbed itself of perception and scrutiny. If one speaks on a level of any injustice or indiscretion, it is quickly labeled; biased judging and borderline hate speech. Freedom of speech is reserved for Antichrist followers, transgendered sympathizers and Confederate flag rebels. Religious freedom and Civil Rights have a very different societal agenda.
Somehow, somewhere, somebody dressed in grand cleric attire jumped the "ole ship of Zion," and left satan at the helm. Religious leaders are seasick to the point of fear when addressing politically correct and abominable trends. Long gone are the fire and brimstone messages in a era where it's desperately needed! The "soft" gospel of God's love for all mankind is finite, and void of why Jesus died and rose from the grave, literally. There comes a time when the body of Christ-centered believers must go back to basics, go back to that era of clean living. Truly if society would recognize Christians as ambassadors of the kingdom of God...they would see a picture that last eternally longer.
